Sweden is the world's largest market for wood pellet and wood gasification boilers. In fact, in 2006 Sweden used as many wood pellets as Germany, Austria and Italy combined.

Star Pellet Boiler

There are two models of wood pellet boiler available. The Star Pellet Boiler has a capacity of 20kW and contains an internal buffer volume of 175 litres of water as well as a high capacity plate heat exchanger. This allows the boiler to provide a high level of DHW on demand.

The Apollo Pellet Boiler also has a capacity of 20kW and contains a buffer volume of 90 litres of water. It features an in-built 100L water heating cylinder which offers superior performance when high flowrates are required.

Wood Pellet Storage

Our wood pellet boilers can be used in a number of different ways.

Bagged Pellets

SBM705

This offers the cheapest, simplest installation but are not grant aided and pellet costs are higher when purchased in bags. It also involves more maintenance, i.e. loading the pellet boiler. In this situation a small 100 Litre pellet store (right) can be attached to the side of the boiler. It has an in-built auger to feed the boiler.

Self Build Storage

This is more costly to install but offers the end user lower pellet costs. By using bulk storage your installation will be grant eligible, as long as a minimum of 3 tonnes can be stored.

Option A: Ready Made Storage

We offer a range of products which are ready made and include all the necessary features of a pellet store. Filling pipes, breaker mats and ventilation are all included in these high quality stores.

Option B: Build Your Own

We offer a range of fittings, filling pipes, vent pipes, breaker mats and pellet cones that allow you to build your own storage.

Connection of bulk store to boiler

Once a bulk store has been built or installed, it can be connected to the pellet boiler in one of three ways:

A Bulk store with manual transfer to 100 Litre store

This offers the cheapest method of bulk storage, but will be more work for the user.

A Bulk store directly feeding the boiler via an auger

This is an ideal solution. It is fully automatic but means the store and boiler need to be side by side.

A remote bulk store feeding a 100 Litre store

This requires a long auger which means extra cost. This is useful where there is little space in the boiler room.
