Very High Temperature R290

The AWA HP N is a high-capacity R290 air-to-water heat pump for commercial heating and cooling, delivering hot water up to 75°C with ambient operation down to -20°C. Using natural R290 propane refrigerant (GWP 3), it eliminates F-gas phase-out risk while achieving A++ energy class across the full range.

Four models cover 129 to 230 kW heating capacity from a single dual-circuit unit — each with two independent refrigerant circuits for built-in redundancy. Seasonal efficiencies (SCOP) of 158–168% at low temperature, Eurovent certified, and fully compliant with ErP 2021 standards.

Key features:

  • R290 natural refrigerant — extends propane technology up to 230 kW
  • Dual independent refrigerant circuits on every model — if one circuit fails, the other keeps the building running
  • On/off scroll compressors: tandem (2) on the 038/046, trio (3) on the 056/067, split across both circuits
  • Leaving water temperature up to 75°C — suitable for radiator retrofits, legacy systems, and domestic hot water
  • SDS²E safety system: ATEX-certified leak detection, gas expulsion fans, safety relief valves, and sealed compressor compartments
  • Trane Symbio 800 controller with 7" TD7 touchscreen, BACnet and Modbus support, web interface via Wi-Fi/Ethernet
  • Three acoustic versions: Standard, LN, and XLN — LN adds compressor jackets and soundproof box; XLN adds low-noise fans
