Quantix Heat Pump System - Extended Warranty Agreement
1. Parties
This Extended Warranty Agreement (“the Agreement”) is made between:
RVR Energy Technology Ltd, a company registered in Ireland with company number 403616, hereinafter referred to as “the Company”,
and the Original Purchaser and/or End-User (which may include an owner-occupier, landlord, housing association, local authority, or other organisation in control of a dwelling in which the Product has been installed), subject to proper registration.
2. Definitions
Installed Product – The Quantix Heat Pump system (including the heat pump and indoor unit and/or wiring centre) to which this warranty applies.
Replacement Part/Parts – Parts supplied by the Company to facilitate repair of the Installed Product.
Annual Servicing – Maintenance and service operations performed periodically as required by the manufacturer’s instructions and applicable regulations. The schedule is set out in this Agreement.
Warranty Period – Seven (7) years from the date of supply, comprising three (3) years parts and labour coverage, followed by four (4) years parts-only coverage, subject to full compliance with registration and servicing requirements.
Registration – The process by which the Original Purchaser or End-User registers commissioning and servicing with the Company, as required to activate and maintain the Warranty.
3. Commencement of the Agreement
This Agreement becomes binding once:
- The Company has supplied the Installed Product;
- Payment in full has been received;
- Installation has been carried out by an RVR Approved Installer
- Commissioning of the Installed Product is registered with the Company within six (6) months of supply.
Failure to register commissioning and/or servicing as required will invalidate the Warranty.
4. Description of the Extended Warranty
The Installed Product is covered by:
- A standard 12-month warranty (as per the Company’s conditions of sale);
- An extended warranty of up to seven (7) years from date of supply, provided registration and servicing obligations are met.
The extended warranty covers parts and labour for the first three (3) years from supply. For the following four (4) years, the warranty covers parts only. Replacement parts supplied will be warranted for the remainder of the Warranty Period. Labour and associated costs during the parts-only period are excluded.
Parts may be new or remanufactured. Defective parts must be returned to the Company.
5. Exclusions
The following are excluded from coverage under this Agreement:
- Commercial installations;
- Any appliances, components, pipework or systems not supplied as part of the Quantix Heat Pump system;
- Any fault due to the incorrect application of the Quantix Heat Pump Susyem by your installer or system designer (e.g., failure to specify a correctly sized heat pump or cylinder).
- Damage caused by incorrect installation, tampering, misuse, accident, fire, flood, frost, storm, chemical exposure, vermin, or other external factors;
- Damage caused by sludge, limescale, chlorides, minerals, pH values outside of acceptable range (as per manual and local regulations) or blockages in the heating system or strainers;
- Faults caused by external services or circumstances, which are not attributable to the product
- Cylinder failures, except where directly attributable to a factory defect.
- Improper electrical supply or services connected to the Installed Product;
- Failure to adhere to the manufacturer’s instructions;
- Unauthorised adjustments or modifications;
- Servicing and its associated costs;
- Installations where a primary loop strainer is not fitted;
- Retrofit installations where a magnetic filter has not been installed;
-Consumable parts (including pumps, three port valves and immersion/ booster heaters) and normal wear and tear are not covered under the extended warranty
- Any other exclusions set out in the Company’s standard conditions of sale.
Any claims resulting in a call out due to an excluded reason or where no fault is found will be subject to standard call out fee.
6. Obligations
In the event of a breakdown or warranty issue, please contact your installer who can liaise with the RVR Heat Pump Service department.
If your installer is not known or cannot be contacted, please contact the RVR Heat Pump Service department directly.
The Company will supply replacement parts (and labour during the first three years) provided that:
- The Installed Product was correctly installed and commissioned in accordance with instructions and regulations;
- The installed product was installed by a RVR approved installer.
- The Installed Product is registered within six months of supply via online portal or app;
- Annual Servicing is carried out by the Company or an authorised service representative in line with the schedule below;
- Annual service is logged with RVR via online portal or app;
- Proof of Annual Servicing is available at the time of any claim;
- In retrofit applications, a magnetic filter is installed; all applications must include a primary loop strainer.
Annual Servicing must be carried out and logged as follows:
- End of Year 1: within 365 days of supply (+/- 60 days);
- End of Years 2–6: by the anniversary of supply (+/- 60 days).
7. Cancellation of the Warranty
The Warranty will be cancelled in the following cases:
- Failure to register commissioning within six (6) months of supply;
- Failure to carry out Annual Servicing by the appointed dates;
- Failure to comply with manufacturer’s installation and servicing instructions;
- Refusal to allow inspection when reasonably requested;
- Transfer of ownership beyond the original Purchaser/End-User;
- Any breach of the obligations set out in this Agreement.
8. Liability
The Company shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including but not limited to loss of use, lost profits, system failure, or property damage. Liability is strictly limited to the remedies expressly provided under this Agreement.
9. Force Majeure / Failure to Perform
Neither party shall be liable for delays or failures caused by events outside their reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, terrorism, war, or supplier failures.
10. Communications
All claims must be made in writing within the Warranty Period and/or via the web portal/app. Email or post will be considered valid written notice.
11. Other Terms
Replacement parts not returned within 30 days may be charged. Parts found not to be defective or excluded under this Agreement may also be charged. The Warranty Period will not be extended under any circumstances.
12. Waiver
Any waiver of a breach shall not be deemed a waiver of any subsequent breach.
13. Jurisdiction
This Agreement shall be governed by Irish law, with disputes subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
14. Miscellaneous
Except as expressly provided herein or in the Company’s standard conditions of sale, no other warranties apply. The Company disclaims all implied warranties including merchantability or fitness for purpose.
THIS EXTENDED GUARANTEE DOES NOT AFFECT YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS.
